NHL COMPARABLE : Brendan Gallagher
POTENTIAL : Top-9 All-Around Hard-working Winger
CEILING: 2nd Line RW
FLOOR: 3rd Line RW

If Fabbro is my favourite prospect in this year’s draft, Bitten is a very close second. There is just so much to like with this player, it’s ridiculous. This is another player whose floor is very high and who’s a sure bet to become a solid NHL player. In my opinion, Bitten is strong in all aspects of the game but a guy who achieves success due to hard work and an extremely high compete level. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have your share bit of talent as well which Bitten also has. He’s an underrated playmaker and plays a strong positional game thanks to an above-average sense of anticipation. I was telling a friend recently that I see Will Bitten as a bit of a cross between Brendan Gallagher and Adam Deadmarsh.

When you consider that Bitten was practically a point-per-game player in that ‘gong-show’ they had going on in Flint this year, it makes it an even more remarkable accomplishment. I think he’s got a really strong shot at becoming a 2nd line winger and if that doesn’t work out, I think he settles in on a 3rd line and that’s where the real value comes in.

If I had to bet, I don’t think an NHL team will make him a 1st round pick and I think he’s a pretty safe bet to go somewhere in Round #2 but I think it will be one of the better picks in that round.
