I wasn’t a huge fan of his brother’s (still not that much really even though the top-end skill is undeniable) and I’m even less of a fan of Alex Nylander. For a player that has been rated in the top-10 all year, I was expecting much more from him at the U18s. Most of the games that I saw him play, he didn’t really stand out the way Logan Brown, Clayton Keller and Tyson Jost did, he made a few nice plays here and there but I was expecting much, much more from this player.

I also don’t see him adapting his role to play more of a 2-way game, he’ll either end up making it as a top-6 scoring forward or he’ll eventually go back to Europe. For all of those reasons, I have him on the outside looking into the top-15 of this year’s draft. If a team picks him up anywhere from #16 to #30…that would be a good gamble in my estimation.
