NHL COMPARABLE : Joe Pavelski
POTENTIAL : Top-9 Two-way Center
CEILING: 2nd Line C
FLOOR: 3rd Line C

I haven’t seen a guy look so much like Joe Pavelski since well…Joe Pavelski! In reality, Joe Pavelski didn’t even look like he does today during his draft year. Ok enough confusion, I love this kid and I think he’s got a real chance to be a real good one.

He’s a solid two-way player who has a knack for getting into lanes and areas to score. While it remains to be seen whether or not Kunin can ever reach Pavelski’s level, putting up close to a point per game on that Wisconsin team is an impressive accomplishment. There are other guys with more flash and fame in this draft class but there is certainly going to be a team that’s going to want to invest in a draft pick like this to reap the benefits in 2-3 years. Look for a team to select Kunin around the #15 to #25 range…any higher and it’s likely too much of a reach and any lower and it’s a steal.
