I really like Vitali Abramov despite him being much smaller than most of the guys in my top-50. His vision and ability to find seams and make passes is what sets him apart for me and I’ll always have a lot of time for those types of players. He’s just a fantastic playmaker, a really strong skater and a guy you’ll notice every time he’s on the ice. With this kind of player, it’s always a bit of a boom or bust situation where if he doesn’t make it as a top-6 guy, he has other options in Europe. When you start talking about this part of the draft past #15 there just are not many guys left that have as much skill as he does…so you have to make a choice. I think he’s underrated and could end up being a really good NHL player.
