COMPARABLE : John Klingberg
UPSIDE : Top-4 Offensive D-Man
FLOOR : Bottom Pairing D-Man

My comparable for Henri Jokiharju is John Klingberg and I think it’s very fitting because Klingberg is a player that the Dallas Stars selected in the 5th round without much fanfare until he broke into the NHL causing everyone to wonder “where the hell did this guy come from?!?!” For me, Jokiharju feels like he’s going to be that kind of player…he’s currently flying under a lot of people’s radar but every single time I saw him play, whether it was with the Portland Winterhawks, for Finland at the U18 tournament (2016) or at the World Junior Summer Showcase, I always came away impressed. That’s good enough for me.

Jokiharju is a fantastic skater, he makes smart decisions with the puck and moves it extremely well. He has a pretty good shot and competes really well…he’s a hard worker. He probably needs to fill out as he’s a little on the light side but I believe that will come with time. Like Klingberg, expect a longer development curve with this player (3 years or more) but once he gets there it should be well worth it. One of my favourites in this year’s draft. Could end up a solid Top-4 D-Man.
