COMPARABLE : Anders Lee
UPSIDE : Top-9 Offensive Forward
FLOOR : AHL Call-Up

About 5 years ago, a player like Noah Gadjovich would have been a sure-fire top-15 pick. A big-bodied power forward-type who just put up 46 goals and 74 points would be at the top of a lot of teams’ draft lists. But we are clearly headed into a new era and teams that are lacking speed are going to get left out in the dust. Gadjovich is a player with good offensive awareness and obviously a goal-scorers touch. He’s the type of player that’s going to pay the price in front of the net and work for every inch of ice but his skating is going to hold him back unless he makes improvements on that end. I find that he’s a better playmaker than I initially gave him credit for when I got my first look at him.

My comparable for him is Anders Lee a player who plays a good two-way game and has natural goalscoring instincts as well. I think Gadjovich is a lot like that. I expect a team to take a chance on him early in the 2nd round but I think late 2nd/early 3rd round is probably right where he should be.
