There’s no question about it, Logan Cockerill is certainly under-sized but he’s still a really solid prospect. He’s a very good skater who makes smart plays and stands out due to his high level of compete and tenacious checking. I saw him play as a center but I think at the pro level, there’s a good chance he becomes a winger.

My comparable for him is Jason Zucker as that’s who he reminds me of playing for Team USA at the U18 tournament as an undersized guy in 2010. Just like Zucker, Cockerill is a fiesty player and flies a bit under the radar but he has a chance at a depth role in the NHL if everything goes well.

He’s one of my favourites and I think he’s underrated…good value for a 4th + round draft pick.
