NHL COMPARABLE : Jonathan Drouin

CEILING: 1st Line LW / 2nd Line C
FLOOR: 2nd Line LW / 2nd Line C

Clayton Keller has got tremendous hockey sense and passing ability as well as the ability to make great reads and make difficult plays look simple. My only problem with him is that he’s really going to need to put on some weight and fill-out before taking his game to the pros. There just aren’t many players that size that play in the NHL let along at center. That’s why I believe that he may need to eventually adapt his game to the wing though I’m not too worried about that kind of transition. My comparable for him is Jonathan Drouin and I think it’s a pretty good one. I don’t think he’s as dynamic but he’s almost just as good of a playmaker. If Keller would have been 6’1 and 200lbs, I think there would be a serious debate as to who to pick at #3.
