NHL COMPARABLE: Marco Scandella

UPSIDE: Middle Pairing / Bottom Pairing Two-way D-man

I’ve seen Ryan Pilon ranked in the 1st round on some lists but I think that’s a bit of a stretch. He’s a pretty good defender though when it comes right down to it. My comparable for Pilon is Marco Scandella and I think that’s a pretty good fit. Plays a solid, safe and consistent game and that’s what I think a team drafting Pilon will get if continues on and develops the way he should.
